Guobing Wang

Hello, every ESSM member! My name is Guobing Wang, you can call me Guobing. I come from China, and I’m very glad meeting you here! I teach forest ecology in Nanjing Forestry University, Nanjing city, Jiangsu province. I have been employed by my company for five years, now I’m an associate professor.

    I like play basketball, it’s my mainly sport item. I love to talk, maybe I can talk with you in English here despite my poor English. Oh, you can also talk with me in Chinese if you want to learn some Chinese word. I come here as a visiting scholar for half a year, Zhiwei Ge is my colleague not only in my university but also here. We come here at the same time and have a same supervisor, Jason Vogel. Oh, he is good man! He and his research group help us very much, everyone is friendly to us. We feel happy and adaptive here! Let me be familiar with every of you in the next six month!

 

Ge, Zhiwei 

I am a lecturer from Nanjing Forestry University, Jiangsu province, China. I am here as a visiting scholar for 6 months (Oct., 2013 – Apr., 2014) with Prof. Jason Vogel. My research interest is mainly about carbon dynamic in the artificial forest ecosystem, and recently I am concentrated in the questions of the measurement and evaluation methods of carbon sequestration and effects of human activities on the soil organic carbon stability.

My hobbies are reading, watching movies, listening to music and involving in some indoor sports. I also traveled a lot in China during student life. If you want to know something more about culture & history of China, maybe I can help you with that. And I would always love to make more friends.
