Jerry Lester Newcomb (90) was born in Kurten, TX. He grew up in the family ranching business and attended Texas A&M as a range science major. Currently, Jerry is President and CEO of American Plant Food Corporation. APF distributes over 750,000 tons of ammonium sulfate a year, from local retail operations to the international export market.  Jerry started his career with APF in 1990 as plant manager at the Fort Worth facility. From there, he moved to outsides sales. He moved to the corporate headquarters in Galena Park as Director of Operations, and later, Vice President of Operations.

Jerry credits his success to his family and the professors that he studied under at Texas A&M. Jerry added that his success would also not be possible without the team at APF, as well as the loyal customer base.
