Minor in Spatial Sciences

Minimum of 15 hours required : A selection from among the following courses will constitute a minor field of study. (Note : the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences requires a C or better in any course used for the minor.)

15 hours

Choose 3 hours from the following:
ESSM 351 (3 hours)
RENR 405 (3 hours)
GEOG 390 (3 hours)

Required 6 hours:
ESSM 444 (3 hours) 
ESSM 462 (3 hours)

Choose 6 hours from the following:
ESSM 459 (3 hours)
ESSM 460 (3 hours)
ESSM 464 (3 hours)
GEOL/GEOG 352 (3 hours)


  • Students are required to take ESSM 444 and 462 as part of the minor program.
  • A capstone course of ESSM 462 is required as part of the minor.
  • Minimum of 15 hours required.
  • Must maintain a 2.0 or above in minor curriculum.
